The affects of the Coronavirus have impacted the sports world in many and varied ways during the past two weeks. Restrictions from local and state authorities have been ramped up on populations due to the serious nature of the virus and both the NCAA and its member conferences have followed suit with suspensions and outright cancellations of their own. For example, the Southeastern Conference mandated that team and individual practices, meetings and other organized gatherings, whether required or voluntary, remain suspended through at least April 15. The conference also stated that all spring football games were cancelled.
Given the fact that it will be very difficult to project a timeline for the return of any kind of practice and also that it will take a while for players to get back into playing shape, there's a chance that we may not see any kind of formal college football practices for while and perhaps until fall camp starts up. Thus, we've decided to look at how the lack of spring ball is impacting the players on A&M's roster on a position by position basis. Today, we continue with the outside receivers.
