WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Five Purdue track & field student-athletes have earned All-America accolades as seniors Samson Colebrooke and Janae' Moffitt, juniors Brian Faust and Waseem Williams and sophomore Isaiah Martin were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday.

Moffitt was named an All-American for the fifth time in her career, including a second-team indoor accolade in 2017. Williams also is recognized for the fifth time in his career, while Colebrooke and Faust earned their third All-America honor and Martin his second. Williams, Colebrooke, Faust and Martin were recognized with indoor accolades for the first time.

"Congratulations to our five All-America honorees," Purdue head coach Norbert Elliott said. "To be named an All-American is a tremendous honor and I am proud of all that Samson, Brian, Isaiah, Janae' and Waseem accomplished this season. I'm happy to see their hard work and dedication be rewarded."

Purdue's five indoor All-America honors are the most since earning seven in 2018. The four men's awards are the most since 2016.

The indoor All-America distinction comes after all five Boilermakers qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Colebrooke, Faust, Martin, Moffitt and Williams earned NCAA berths as one of the top 16 competitors in the nation in their respective events. Purdue's five NCAA indoor qualifiers in five events were its most since 2017. The four Boilermaker men to make the indoor championships were the most since 2003 meet.

Colebrooke's All-America distinction was awarded in the 200-meter dash, where he was seeded No. 11 overall at the NCAA Championships with a time of 20.80 seconds. Set in the Big Ten prelims on Feb. 28, his time is the third-fastest in program history. A native of Exuma, Bahamas, Colebrooke won bronze in the final. Along with his bronze medal, he received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award following the conference championships.

Faust earned an NCAA berth and All-America honors in the 400-meter dash. In the Big Ten final on Feb. 29, Faust broke his own school record with a time of 46.15 to place third overall. As he set the Purdue record for the third time in 2020, it was the 15th-fastest time in the country in the event. From Atlanta, Faust also broke his own school record in 600-meter dash this season, with a time of 1:17.20.

Martin's All-America accolades and NCAA bid came in the heptathlon, thanks to a Purdue-record-breaking performance at the Big Ten Championships. Seeded No. 15 in the event, he earned a mark of 5,631 points at Big Tens and claimed a third-place finish.

Moffitt once again collected All-America status in the high jump after she won her fourth overall Big Ten title and third indoors. She qualified for her fifth NCAA Championships, where she was seeded seventh in the nation. With a jump of 1.82 meters at the 2020 Big Ten Championships, Moffitt became the third woman in conference history to win three or more indoor high jump titles. A native of Marion, Indiana, Moffitt was named to the All-Big Ten Team for the seventh time in her career and collected first team honors for the fourth time. Last week, the senior was named one of Purdue's two recipients of the Big Ten Medal of Honor.

Williams was named an All-American in the 60-meter dash thanks to an NCAA-qualifying time of 6.58 seconds, a Big Ten and Purdue record in the event. Williams' time, which was the fourth-fastest in the country, earned him a Big Ten title, the fourth overall of his career, on Feb. 29. The Kingston, Jamaica, native was recognized with All-Big Ten First Team honors for the fourth time in his career.

Purdue's All-America honors are the latest accolades in recognition of the 2019-20 track & field campaign. At the Big Ten Championships, the Boilermakers won three Big Ten titles, a silver medal and totaled 24 top-eight podium finishes. The men finished in sixth place with 54 points and the women were seventh, with 53 points. The men's squad finished in the top six for a second consecutive season and the third time in the last 10 years, while the women's seventh-place finish comes after they were 10th a year ago. On the season, Purdue recorded 32 marks that rank in the top-10 in school history in 20 different events, with five school records set. Seven Boilermakers earned All-Big Ten honors. Additionally, senior Jaret Carpenter joined Moffitt as a recipient of the Big Ten Medal of Honor.
