Boulder County reported five new coronavirus cases Saturday and no new deaths.
To date there have been 2,054 positive or probable cases in Boulder County. According to Boulder County Public Health, there have been 74 deaths. However, the Daily Camera reported Friday that there were 75 deaths — the first death the county has seen from the virus in 24 days. Chana Goussetis, spokesperson for Boulder County Public Health, said she wasn’t able to explain the discrepancy Saturday because staff wasn’t available. Goussetis confirmed that no new deaths had been reported. Of the county’s cases, there have been 187 people hospitalized and 793 people have recovered from the virus. There are 134 disease investigations in progress.
As of 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the state reported there have been 50,324 positive or probable cases. There have been 6,602 people hospitalized. There have been 1,857 deaths and of those, 1,736 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Of Colorado’s roughly 5.7 million population, there have been 582,639 people who have been tested.
