It was less than six months ago that draft analysts were questioning whether or not the Washington Football Team would consider a quarterback at No. 2 overall. It was deemed kooky by some considering Chase Young would be on the board, but quarterback is the most important position on the field. But after four games, Washington has made the decision to sit quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Would they have considered Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert knowing what is known now? It is doubtful. Coach Ron Rivera likely had an idea of the type of talent Haskins brought to the table before he took the job.
It is an interesting conversation and another opportunity to look back and consider how Washington came to the decision to select Young. He has essentially missed two games while Herbert is lighting it up in Los Angeles. The team should have another opportunity to swing at the quarterback piñata during the 2021 NFL Draft. Who? Well, I am glad you asked. Fortunately, in your pursuit to read an introductory paragraph about Washington's quarterback options, you stumbled upon a 2021 mock draft!
The draft order was determined using SportsLine's reverse Super Bowl odds following Sunday's Week 4 action but if you want to believe that I hate your team, I accept it!
