COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Baylor's Livia Kraus won her fifth-straight match Saturday on the singles court and teamed up with Jessica Hinojosa for the pair's third-straight doubles win on day two of the Aggie Halloween Classic.
The Bears' fortune turned a bit after winning seven singles matches and three doubles matches Friday. Baylor took two wins on the singles court and one in doubles on day two. Kraus defeated Rice's Federica Trevisan, 6-1, 6-4, to improve to 6-1 on the season.
Angelina Shakhraichuk outlasted Texas A&M's Lucia Quiterio in three sets, 0-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4, to go one match above .500 for the season at 4-3.
Kraus and Hinojosa took down Quiterio and Robbins 7-5 for the Bears' lone doubles win. The Baylor pair improved to 3-0 on the season.
