There are five games on the early slate this morning. Two of them should be enjoyable. Let’s start with the ones that won’t be. The Chicago Bears are six-point underdogs on the road against the Tennessee Titans. Two of the Bears offensive lineman were placed on the COVID list. Late Saturday night, Chicago added a backup safety to the COVID list. Chicago also lost their starting right tackle with a knee injury. This comes a week after losing their starting left guard for the season.
Jadeveon Clowney won’t play for the Titans, but it’ll be difficult for the Bears to move the football. Tennessee should handle business and bounce back.
The Carolina Panthers are on the road and are 10-point underdogs to the Kansas City Chiefs. Carolina was a great story early in the year, but they’ve started to regress to who everyone expected them to be. I’d be surprised if they kept this game within two scores. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs should roll.
The Broncos and Falcons game doesn’t sound anywhere near exciting. Calvin Ridley, who is one of the few entertaining players on that roster, is inactive.
The Seahawks are three-point favorites against the Bills on the road. This game should feature a lot of points. Ultimately, Russell Wilson should do what he normally does and prevail with some late-game magic.
The Colts and the Ravens should be a fun watch. Lamar Jackson has gotten a bad wrap, but that offense has done him zero favors. On the other side, Philip Rivers has played well this season, and Indianapolis feels like a team that’s poised for a strong playoff run. Jackson should make plays with his legs. This game is set as a “pick ‘em.”
