Five Guys Burgers and Fries is opening Wednesday in Roseburg.
Mel Garges and Kristy Zakour of Southern Oregon Burgers and Fries, LLC will operate the Roseburg store, which is in the Hanna Heritage Place, between Elmer’s and the Hampton Inn on Northeast Mulholland Drive. Garges told News Radio 1240 KQEN that they have hired approximately 40 employees, both full and part time. The franchise owners already operate stores in Eugene, Springfield, Bend and Medford. A sixth outlet will open in north Medford around the start of the year. Garges told KQEN that the Roseburg building project has gone “quite well”, thanking Guion Randol Contractors and the Hannah Family.
Garges said Five Guys prepares everything with only fresh ingredients. He said there is not a freezer on the premises.
The Roseburg Five Guys will be open 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week. Food can be ordered on-line or in person. The store works with delivery services like Grubhub and DoorDash, for those who want their meal delivered. Tables are available both inside and outside the store, but less tables can be occupied due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The national Five Guys chain opened in Virginia in 1986. There are now over 1,000 stores around the United States. Five Guys also operates in six Canadian providences, and over 15 other nations.
