Rams Sign Five on National Signing Day - CSURams.com

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State softball head coach Jen Fisher announced the addition of five student-athletes to continue their careers at CSU following high school graduation.
 
Emma Simonich | Outfield | Oklahoma City, OK | Deer Creek High School
Lettered two years at Deer Creek HS for coach Trent Patterson… Were Conference Champs, Regional Champs and State Semi Finalists as a junior… In the classroom, she was part of the National Honor Society and class VP… Parents are Kasey and Paul Simonich… Has two younger siblings Oliver and Annie… Goes by the nickname Gizmo – a nickname her first travel ball coach gave her.
 
Chose Colorado State because…
"I fell in love with CSU the moment I stepped on campus. When I met the coaches, they immediately felt like family. I knew there was a connection between me and the current players. Overall I knew I was home."
 
Brooke Bohlender | Catcher | Fort Collins, CO | Poudre High School
Played softball at Poudre High School for Chris Hutton, Wendi Mill and Kristy Bibbey… Two-time First-Team All-Conference honoree… Second-Team All-Conference as a sophomore… Was team captain her senior season… Also played basketball at Poudre HS earning a handful of awards and holding records… In the classroom, she was a National Honors Society member, FBLA State qualifier, DECA participant and an Honor Roll student… Plans to study construction management… Parents Kristi (Associate Vice President of University Advancement at CSU, Executive Director of the Alumni Association) and Troy Bohlender… Has two siblings Bailey and Blake.
 
Chose Colorado State because…
"I chose Colorado State because growing up in Fort Collins, Colorado State has always had a big influence in my life. I started going to CSU softball camps as a little girl, it has always been my dream to play softball for CSU, and in the city I love."
 
Morgan Crosby | Infield | Pleasant Hill, CA | College Park High School
Played four years of prep for Scott Wood and Kiko Garcia… Started every game since freshman year… Named Rookie of the Year by College Park… Earned All-League Honorable Mention as a first-year varsity player… Went on to earn First-Team All-League and Third-Team All-Section as a sophomore… Was having a standout season before COVID-19 Pandemic… In the classroom, she was an Honor Roll student… Plans to study health and exercise science… Parents are Kim and Dan Crosby… Has a younger sister Cameron.
 
Chose Colorado State because…
"I chose Colorado State because of its super friendly atmosphere on campus as well as the community school spirit. I love the proximity to nature and outdoor activities that CSU offers. Also, from my first camp to my official visit, the team and coaches were always so inclusive and welcoming, and I knew it would be a great fit for me."
 
Jordan West | Infield | Arvada, CO | Ralston Valley High School
Played at Ralston Valley HS earning First-Team All-Conference as a sophomore and senior… Named to the Second-Team All-State as a senior… In the classroom, she was part of the National Honors Society and Spanish Honors Society… Plans to study health and exercise science.
 
Chose Colorado State because…
"I have always wanted to stay close to home and the first time I stepped onto campus I knew that it was the place for me. The community on campus gave me a home away from home feel that I knew I would love for the next chapter of my life."
 
Gracie Taylor | Infield | Peachtree Corners, GA | Wesleyan School
Played all four years of prep at Wesleyan School for Mary Stephenson and Greg Lisson… Two-time State Champ and a State Runner-Up… Named Region Player of the Year as a senior… Two-time First-Team All-State and Three-Time First-Team All-Region… Was named to the Georgia High School Association Junior All-Star Team… Two-Time Gwinnett Diamond Club First-Team (All County)… Also played basketball and was a State Champ as a freshman… Plans to study business marketing… Parents are Kelly and Kip Taylor… Has two younger siblings Cash and Shayla.
 
Chose Colorado State because…
"I really wanted to go to school out West. My first experience at Colorado State and Fort Collins was attending a softball camp there my sophomore year where I fell in love with the campus and Fort Collins. But the difference came down to how great of a fit it was for me with the CSU Coaches and the current players, as well as my future teammates that I got to meet and spend time with in our 2021 class."
