For the second time in three days, the Philadelphia 76ers got the better of the Charlotte Hornets after coasting to a 118-101 victory on Monday night following a strong second-half performance.

The 76ers received a balanced offensive attack during the route, with seven players scoring in double figures. Tobias Harris scored a game-high 22 points as Philadelphia led by as many as 27 points in the fourth quarter before Charlotte was able to cut into the deficit.

Charlotte was led with 18 points from Gordon Hayward while Devonte’ Graham added 15 points, which all came from 3-point range. Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball once again filled up the stat sheet, recording 12 points, a game-high nine assists and seven rebounds in 30 minutes.

The performance by Ball came after the third overall pick tallied 13 points, five assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks versus the Sixers on Saturday. Ball is now the first Hornets rookie since Kemba Walker to record at least five assists in five straight games.

Overall, Ball struggled from the field, shooting just 5-of-16 from the field while he missed all five of his attempts from beyond the arc. However, he once again gave the Hornets a spark off the bench, and even converted on a couple of tough finishes throughout the evening.

Ball has been praised for the growth shown each game and that will likely continue to be the case throughout the season. He will certainly have his growing pains but he has proven to be a quick learner, something the organization will certainly like this season.
