Against the Dallas Mavericks, LaMelo Ball made franchise history with the best game of his rookie season to-date. On Saturday, Ball accomplished another impressive, but not nearly as gaudy, statistical feat.

In the loss to the Sixers, Ball finished with 13 points, five assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks. He became the second Hornets player in franchise history with a regular season stat line of 10 points, five assists, two steals and two blocks, joining Larry Johnson (h/t Sam Perley, Hornets.com).

It’s not quite as impressive as his 20-point game against the Mavs, but it shows yet again how strong of a start to his career Ball is having. Through the opening six games, Ball is averaging 11.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and doing so in 23 minutes per game.

After his scoreless debut, Ball has reached double figures in scoring in four of the last five games. His performance has been strong enough that a move to the starting lineup could be in the books in the coming days and weeks.
