Josh Harrison Tearing Cover Off the Ball for Nats - Down The Drive

Cincinnati Bearcats baseball great Josh Harrison is having a fantastic spring for the Washington Nationals.

Harrison, now entering his 11th season, is batting .440 in Spring Training for the rebuilding Nats, having swatted a pair of homeruns and 6 RBIs.

Harrison took the Astros deep for this monster shot early in Spring Training:

It is evident that Harrison will find a significant role on the Nationals this season. Whether it is in the infield or the outfield remains to be seen.

CBS Sports suggests that Harrison may end up as the Nationals’ everyday centerfielder (though Harrison has never played this position during his career—the utility man Harrison has, in fact, started at six other positions). Apparently, when his playing days are done, Harrison is in line for a coaching position with the Nationals. Manager Dave Martinez holds Harrison’s baseball knowledge in high esteem.

Thanks for your support for Down the Drive. We will keep you up-to-date on all of the big league Bearcats this season.
