Lonzo Ball remained out yet again on Monday against the Boston Celtics, his fifth consecutive game missed due to a right hip flexor injury.

Ball suffered the injury at the end of the Pelicans’ game against the Portland Trail Blazers on March 18. Since that game, Ball has been listed on the injury report with the right hip flexor strain.

His status did change ahead of Monday’s game. After being listed as doubtful in both weekend games against the Nuggets and Mavericks, Ball was upgraded to questionable against the Celtics despite not playing.

It’s a positive sign for Ball ahead of multiple days off for New Orleans upcoming this week. After Monday’s game, the Pelicans will be off until Thursday when they host the Magic. That contest would also be the first of three games in four days with contests against Atlanta on Friday and in Houston on Sunday.
