CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Someone left five cats in carriers outside of the Cape Coral Animal Shelter early Saturday morning.
The shelter said the five carriers were left among a pile of donations on the side of the building.
A volunteer saw the person driving off, and the shelter said they thought the person was donating carriers.
“Situations like this make it extremely unfair to those who have followed procedure,” CCAS said on Facebook. “Our apologies to those on our waiting list who will now have to wait a bit longer.”
CCAS asks anyone needing to surrender a pet, to go their website and follow the proper channels.
