Atlantic City firefighters rescued five people from a fire early Monday morning.
Firefighters arrived to Belfield Avenue just after 4 a.m, and saw smoke showing from one side of the three-story attached row home, according to information released by Local 198.
Bystanders notified Battalion 1 that multiple people were trapped inside, according to the report.
Engine 1 rescued two people who had to climb out of a window onto a second-floor roof, the release stated.
Rescue 1 split into two groups, with one rescuing an unresponsive person from inside the second floor. The other group went through the fire and smoke to get a victim from the third floor, according to the report.
A man who jumped from the building was also rescued from a tree.
Engine 2 and Ladder 1 also assisted at the scene.
The fire was quickly brought under control. Victims were taken to the hospital.
No firefighters were injured.
