It's time to get loud, sports fans.
Capacity for both Nuggets and Avalanche playoff games at Denver's Ball Arena has increased to 10,500 — or 57.3% of overall venue capacity — after the arena received approval from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment announced Wednesday (May 26).
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring additional fans into Ball Arena for the upcoming Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche playoff games,” Matt Bell, KSE vice president of venue booking, said in a statement.
Ball Arena's previously approved capacity stood at 7,750 or 42.3% of overall capacity.
The Denver Nuggets, who tied their first-round series up with the Portland Trailblazers on Monday (May 24), will play their next game at home for Game Five of the series on June 1.
Game 3 for the Nuggets takes place in Portland at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday night (May 27).
The Avs are still waiting to find out who they'll be hosting for the first two games of the Second Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after completing a four-game sweep of the St. Louis Blues last week.
Playoff ticket priority will be given to Avalanche and Nuggets ticket plan holders and partners.
Nuggets fans can purchase tickets to the third and fourth home games — scheduled for June 1 and 5, respectively — at ticketmaster.com. Avalanche fans can sign up for the waitlist for second-round home games at teamkse.com.
