Several Seriously Injured. Crash Blamed On High Speed Driving On Camino Real. Hyundai Flips, Lands On Mercedes.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Five people are dead following a high impact rollover crash on Camino Real early Sunday morning.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports Ramiro Gomez of Deerfield Beach, an unidentified male of Boca Raton, an unidentified female of Boca Raton; Sebastian Rivas of Boca Raton, and Brielle Snowden of Boca Raton were all killed in the crash.
The injured, according to police, are Sienna Judovits, Keira Safris, Dariya Hill, and Ardi Zeqiri.
From the police report: a Hyundai Genesis driven by Ramiro Gomez was traveling eastbound on Camino Real at a high rate of speed, within the outside lane of travel, approaching the intersection of Sanibel Drive. That’s when a Mercedes C250 driven by a yet unidentified male was traveling westbound on Camino Real, within the inside lane of travel, east of the intersection of Sanibel Drive.
As the Genesis neared the intersection, Gomez lost control of the vehicle. It started rotating counter clockwise and entered the raised grassy median. The front bumper of the Genesis impacted a concrete light pole and began sliding sideways through the grass. While sliding, the passenger side tires furrowed the grass and the Genesis began rolling. As the Genesis departed the median and entered the westbound lanes of Camino Real, all six passengers were ejected from the Genesis. The Genesis landed upside down on top fo the Mercedes before both vehicles came to rest.
The driver and passenger of the Mercedes were transported to Delray Medical Center where they were both pronounced dead.
Gomez (driving the Genesis), Rivas and Snowden were pronounced dead on the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. The five other passengers in the Genesis were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.
We will identify the deceased from the Mercedes once PBSO completes notification to their families.
