RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's track and field program had five individuals named to the All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

2021 All-American Brooke Fazio (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree Maria Acosta (Maywood, N.J.) joins fellow NCAA Championship qualifiers Rachel Helbling (McDonald, Pa.), Kayla O'Connell (Marshfield, Mass.) and Kayla Woods (Wilmington, Del.) in representing the Spiders.

"These are amazing young women who serve as leaders within our program and university," said Director of Track & Field Lori Taylor. "They excel not just on the field of competition, but they excel as ambassadors for our program and community. In many ways this has been a challenging year as our student-athletes adapted to a life under the umbrella of a global pandemic. They rose to the challenge, kept their focus and kept their priorities in the right place. We are proud to have these women representing our program and university."
