Lightning sign Andrej Sustr, five others to two-way contracts - Tampa Bay Times

TAMPA — The Lightning have added more depth to their organization with five signings announced Wednesday afternoon, less than two hours after free agency began.

Tampa Bay is bringing back a familiar face in ex-defenseman Andrej Sustr, in addition to forwards Gabriel Dumont and Charles Hudon, defenseman Darren Raddysh (the brother of forward Taylor Raddysh) and goaltender Maxime Lagace. All will be on one-year, two-way contracts.

Sustr, 30, played for the KHL’s Kunlun Red Star this past year, with five assists in 41 games. He played the first six years of his NHL career (which began in 2012-13) with the Lightning, accumulating 10 goals and 53 assists. He signed with Anaheim as a free agent in 2018.

Raddysh skated in 24 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack as the team’s captain this past season, recording two goals and 15 points. In 2019-20, he set AHL career highs for assists (22) and points (28).

Dumont, a 30-year-old former Lightning forward, set career-highs in Tampa Bay during the 2016-17 season for games played (39), goals (two) and points (four). Hudon, 27, played in Montreal the past five seasons, tallying 14 goals and 41 points in 125 games.

Lagace, 28, made only one appearance for Pittsburgh this past season, a 29-save shutout against Buffalo on May 8. He previously played for Vegas from 2017-18 to 2018-19, going 6-8 in 17 games.
