It will be raining balls on Saturday as the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department helicopter will be participating in an aerial fundraiser for a local faith-based recovery program.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s helicopter will drop balls purchased for a $25 donation onto a painted target on the Faith Home Ranch campus at noon on Saturday. The ball closest to the hole is the winner of the $1,000 grand prize.
“We are thrilled to partner with Faith Home Network to provide the helicopter for this awesome community event,” said Stanislaus County Sheriff Jeff Dirkse. “A healthy safe Stanislaus County is our number one priority.”
Last year, 2,700 balls were purchased for the virtual event, raising almost $70,000 for the nonprofit that provides an intense 12-16-month residential program with Bible-based instruction in a structured and caring environment for men age 18 and older dealing with life-controlling problems.
The program is located on a 37-acre working ranch in Ceres and a six-month re-entry center for men in Turlock.
“Every penny of every donation earned during this event will go to funding our mission of restoring hope to men, women and families of people struggling with life controlling issues,” said Lewie Roche, public relations supervisor for Faith Home Network.
All who would like to participate can visit FHTC.life to buys balls or get more information and attend the ball drop.
