New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball continues to progress in the music scenes with the release of his new album entitled “Bounce Back.” The former UCLA standout recently joined Ronnie2K on Instagram live, where the album became one of their talking points.
Per Jacob Rude of USA Today, Ball had actually finished the album in 2018, but needed to go through some processes before officially releasing it. He also admitted that his favorite song on the 17-tracker is “Trials and Tribulations.” Meanwhile, the song that holds a special meaning to him is “Man in the Mirror” which is about his mother and daughter.
The album also features his own brother, LiAngelo, former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Lance Stephenson, and his own manager DMO. He, likewise, revealed how strong of a bond he and Stephenson have created off the court. The two former Lakers recorded two tracks on the album entitled “Swerve” and “Pull Up.”
With a ton of time on his hands, Ball finally had the chance to work on his music career with the ongoing NBA hiatus. For sure, however, Ball is also ramping up his preparation as the 2019-20 NBA season nears its return. The NBA will resume in July, with the Pelicans still vying for a spot in the postseason.
New Orleans is still 3.5 games behind the No. 8 seeded Memphis Grizzlies. Likewise, they are also competing against other Western Conference squads looking to punch their own ticket to the playoffs.
Ball has seen significant improvement this season, especially with his three-point shooting. In 56 games so far, the 6-foot-6 guard averaged 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.0 assists in his third NBA season.
